Imagine a root system with a diameter over a 50 meters from two suar trees deep in an untouched jungle area in Java, Indonesia. They were so old (over 550 years) and big that they were preventing other trees from surviving. The government sold a handful of licenses in military protected jungles, to harvest these trees. My friend with the license got the big full trees for table tops and I got the roots. This is one of my most prized pieces. I was going to make a console but the way it grew and how we cut it did allow for it. So how about a bench. A super gathering bench so big and beautiful and very valuable.
